Data protection for the use of the Purple DS Suite

Modified on Mon, 14 May, 2018 at 12:50 PM

Data protection is an important topic at SPRYLAB

In accordance with the current regulations, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we have taken all essential measures that we need to process our services.

Our servers, which manage all logic and storage of data of our customers, are located in several DIN/ISO 27001 certified data centers in Germany.
To deliver app content worldwide at maximum speed, we use Amazon Web Services as a content delivery network. These contents are provided without user data.

In summary: No personal customer or user data is stored outside German data centers.

Purple DS customer?
We would like to point out that we have taken the necessary precautions for the data that we need to process our services. However, you must also take your own actions for your customer data, possibly for payment services or other third-party services that you use. This could be, for example, a commissioned-processing contract with Google Analytics or any other tracking service provider, if you have a corresponding SDK in your Purple DS app. It may be necessary to consult a lawyer who will advise you specifically on your individual business model.

Please also note that if you have not already done so, you are required to include your own privacy policy in your Purple DS applications (app, web newsstand).

Further key points for information:

  • Purple DS Manager is fully https-encrypted
  • Https encryption is used for all communication with other servers
  • No device-specific information or identifiers are used
  • Possibility for your app users to switch the analytics function on or off independently (as of Release 3.10)
