Purple DS® Manager

Separation of app/web translations

In the Purple DS Suite, the language relevant content for elements such as buttons, messages, etc. is separated between the app and the web kiosk. The translation file (translations.xls) must therefore be provided separately.

Addition of information for app versions

When creating new app builds, the creation date is now also displayed so that entries with the same version numbers can be differentiated.

App splashscreen additions

For the Apple Devices iPhone Xs Max and Xr, individual images can now be provided for the loading screens.

Extended language selection for publications

The following languages can now be selected directly in Purple Manager for the provision of country-specific content in the apps:

  • German
  • English, German
  • French
  • Spanish
  • Italian
  • Chinese
  • Japanese
  • Arabic
  • Turkish
  • Russian
  • Portuguese
  • Polish

On request, other languages can of course be added in the course of a project.

History for dynamic content

With the latest version of Purple DS Manager, uploaded dynamic content is stored as downloadable archives.

Purple DS Entitlement

Self-registration

In the new version of the Purple Entitlement, a customer can set the Entitlement Server to allow readers to register for an app.

Multilingual emails

Since the user sends the language of his browser during registration, the e-mails can also be sent in the corresponding language.

Apps

Firebase Integration for Purple DS

Starting with template 3.15, Firebase In-App Messages and Firebase Cloud Messaging are now available for Purple DS Apps.

For Firebase In-App Messages deeplinks are possible, for Cloud Messaging these are currently not supported.

Support for 3rd-Party Cookies in Webviews

Third party cookies, i.e. cookies set by a website whose domain name does not correspond to the website currently visited, can now be used in WebViews. Third party cookies in particular allow websites that are integrated via iFrame to set cookies.
