Before you begin, you will need to know the Apple-ID of the account holder in the organization the app is being transferred to.
Tasks for the current app owner
(User must have the required role of account holder)
- On the appstore-connect home page, click on My Apps (A list of all apps appears).
- Select the app you want to transfer.
- Click App Information and scroll down to the Additional Information section, click Transfer App, and then click Done.
- When all criteria are met, click Done. Otherwise, solve the issues flagged by the system.
- In the dialog box that appears, enter the Apple ID and Team ID for the recipient's account holder and click Next.
- Read the terms and conditions, select "I have read and agree to the above" and click Request Transfer.
- Click Done to return to the App Information page.
After the transfer is initiated, the app will remain in its previous status, with the status Pending App Transfer added, until the recipient accepts it.
Tasks for the App recipient
(User must have the required role of account holder)
- Log in to App Store Connect as an account holder. (A notification indicates that an app is ready for transfer).
- Click Agreements, Tax and Banking.
- In the Agreements section, you will see a notification that an app is ready for transfer.
- Under App Transfers on the right side, click Verify.
- Enter the new metadata.
- Supporting URL
- Atom Feed URL (required if the application previously had an Atom Feed URL)
- Marketing URL (required if the app previously had a marketing URL)
- Privacy Policy URL (required if the application previously had a Privacy Policy URL)
- CCATS (a new CCATS form is required for applications that use export compliance)
- Contact information for the App-Review
- App Store Contact Information
- Read the terms and conditions, select "I have read and agree to the above" and click Accept.
It may take up to two business days for the app transfer to complete. During this time, the app will have the status Edit App Transfer.
